The F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier fighter intended to defend the carrier task forces of the US Navy. Its recognition feature was the variable-geometry wing, which adjusted automatically to speed in flight. The F-14A version was the basic production modification and carried a powerful radar and long-range AIM-54 Phoenix guided missiles as well as medium- and short-range missiles. For decades the machine formed the backbone of carrier fighter defense.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic; assemble the movable wings carefully so that they stay symmetrical. Paint and highlight the interior of both cockpits before you close the fuselage, and glue the glazing with a canopy cement. After a gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash; complete the typical gray naval schemes with light wear applied with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
