It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory for finishing a larger kit off: a set of the exhaust nozzles of the engines for the carrier-based F-14A Tomcat fighter in 1:48 scale. The package holds resin parts, a sheet of decals and a masking film. Always check the compatibility with your base model.
The exhaust nozzles are a visually exposed element of the rear part of an aircraft. The resin castings bring the faithful inner as well as outer structure of the petals of the nozzle, which the plastic parts from the box usually simplify. The set noticeably raises the realism of the rear end of F-14A Tomcat models.
Wash the parts clean of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and clean the edges up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The nozzles look best with a graded metallic shade and a heat-tinted hue, and the enclosed mask makes clean painting easier. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
