A set of photo-etched metal parts for the F-14D model in 1:48 scale. Metal in scale thickness replaces plastic elements that come out of the mold far too thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts for the model of the F-14D carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. Etched sheet holds a sharp edge and a flat surface, so it suits the elements that in injection-molded plastic necessarily come out rounded and with excessive thickness. Which parts the set contains and where they belong on the model is listed in the manufacturer's instructions.
The F-14 is a carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing, twin vertical tails and a two-man crew seated in tandem. The wing sweeps back as speed rises; on machines parked on deck it is usually swept fully, so that they take up as little room as possible. The D version is the last production variant; it received new engines and upgraded equipment and carries a twin sensor pod under the nose.
Make the bends over the edge of a steel ruler or between the jaws of a bending tool. If there is a shallow etched groove on a part, it bends exactly along it, with the thinner side on the inside of the bend. Metal springs back slightly, so bend it a little further than you need. Offer the finished part up dry and level the plastic surface under it first, otherwise the edge will stand proud. Degrease the metal with alcohol before painting and cover it with a primer.
The package contains photo-etched parts only. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
