This set from Quinta Studio is a color 3D interior decal on decal paper. The instrument panel, side consoles, seat and belts are pre-printed in faithful colors and carry fine raised relief, so painting and photo-etching the cockpit falls away. The set is intended for models of the late F-15C Late and F-15J Late versions in 1:48 scale. It is the compact (smaller) version of the set.
The F-15 is an American twin-engine air superiority fighter. The F-15C version is the single-seat fighter variant, while the F-15J is the counterpart built under license for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The late standard differs in its upgraded cockpit avionics.
The elements are applied as wet decals: the piece is dipped in water and slid into place. Degrease the surface beforehand, settle the piece onto a damp, smooth base and press it down with a soft brush. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution; they attack the printed resin and ruin the element. Once dry, tie the whole together with a thin matte coat.
This is a modeling accessory, not a standalone kit. The plastic model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
