Replacement 1:48 nozzles of the F100 type for the F-15E and F-15K in the closed state will remove the weakest place of the tail on a model of the two-seat Eagle.
Responsibility details are not available.
The rear part of the Eagle with its pair of large nozzles belongs to the most watched areas of the whole model. The set replaces the production parts with an execution designated as the F100 type and in a position matching a machine with its engines shut down. The difference is apparent at once, because the lengthwise seams disappear and the petals get real depth.
To mold a ring of several dozen petals in such a way that no mold seam stays on it is difficult for a classic mold. Replacement parts solve the shape by a different technology and usually add internal detail that you will not find in the basic package. On machines parked on the apron the nozzles are moreover drawn in, so the choice of the closed position matches the typical scene on the flight line.
Cut the original parts off along the guide line and level the mating surface, so that both nozzles form the same angle. The painting you will manage most easily separately: the inside first in a dark metallic shade, then a light transition into heat-stained tones toward the mouth. A dark wash binds well on finished sets and accentuates the individual petals. Glue them in right at the very end.
The set does not replace a kit; the aircraft itself has to be obtained separately.
