A modern fighter has equipment packed under its hinged panels that the technicians get at after practically every flight. That is exactly the view this set opens up: it lets you expose the inside of the fuselage and show assemblies that otherwise stay hidden. The item comes from the Black Dog brand and is fitted into a model under construction.
The General Dynamics F-16 came about as a light and agile day fighter that over the years turned into a multirole machine with a wide range of tasks. The single-seat C version is a later development stage with more capable equipment. The pilot sits under a bubble canopy with excellent visibility, the control stick is placed on the right-hand side and the seat is reclined. The machine serves dozens of users around the world.
Cut the panel out from the inside with a thin blade and true the edge up with a file so that it seats exactly. Paint the assemblies separately first, because once they are glued in you will not reach the depths with a brush. A dark base, a lighter coat from above and spot accents on the edges have proved themselves. Prop the hinged panel on a small strut so that it holds at a constant angle.
