A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an airplane model but a set of late-version replacement wheels for 1:48 F-16 models. The cast wheels offer fine detail of the tread and the hubs that the plastic parts from the box cannot reach.
The wheels are one of the most exposed parts of the landing gear. The resin rendering faithfully captures the tread pattern and the structure of the hub and is usually cast with a hint of weight, so the tire sits realistically flattened on the ground. That gives a model on its wheels a convincing sense of mass.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires in a matte rubber black (never pure black), shade the hubs to suit the aircraft and dust them lightly with pigments for a used look.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. It requires a matching base model, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not enclosed.
