F-16 radar late version 1:48 (Eduard Brassin) is a resin detail set that replaces the nose section with the radar for models of late-version F-16s. It is not a model of the aircraft, but an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, from the Brassin line, is intended for improving models of the late versions of the F-16 fighter. The set faithfully renders the swung-open nose with the onboard radar antenna, and it comes with photo-etched parts and instructions. The package does not contain the model itself — it is an aftermarket accessory that replaces the corresponding plastic parts of a base kit.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multi-role fighter. The later production versions received an upgraded pulse-Doppler radar with a markedly different antenna and internal nose layout, a detail that works superbly as a striking feature of a display when the model is built with the radome open.
First wash any mold release agent off the resin parts, cut them carefully from the casting blocks and join them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do any sanding with respiratory protection. A primer coat and airbrush painting are worth using; spot-glue the photo-etched parts.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
