This set of painting masks in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Art Scale makes it easier to spray the glazing and the other clear parts of a model of the F-16A fighter from the Kinetic kit. It is the single-sided form (express), which masks the frames from the outer face; it is self-adhesive and pre-cut, so it is ready for immediate use. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting.
Masks of kabuki tape follow the shape of the cockpit frames exactly, and usually that of the wheels as well, which gives sharp and even transitions between the paint and the clear area without laboriously laying down strips of adhesive tape. The pre-cut parts simply have to be peeled off and stuck on.
Degrease the transparent parts, carry the masks over to the glass according to the numbered list and press them carefully against the edges of the frames. Spray the paint in thin coats so that it does not run under an edge. Once it is dry, take the masks off carefully.
The package holds masks only; the model, paints and glue are not included.
