This resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale replaces the two-seat cockpit of the kit with accurate tubs, instrument panels, side consoles and ejection seats. The parts match the two-seat F-16B in the Block 15/20 standard. It is an accessory to be built into a kit, not a model in its own right.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter. The F-16B is the two-seat combat-trainer variant with tandem cockpits. The Block 15 standard brought larger horizontal tail surfaces among other changes, and Block 20 followed on from it. The set therefore covers both the front and the rear cockpit.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The F-16 cockpit is painted dark gray, and the instrument panels are brought out with a wash and a dry brush. Extra decals or photo-etched parts for the instruments add realism. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
