F-16CN Block 30/32 1:48 (Eduard) — painting masks

A set of painting masks in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard for the single-seat F-16C Fighting Falcon fighter in the Block 30/32 production series. The masks are pre-cut from yellow Japanese kabuki tape and serve for masking the large-area cockpit glazing and the wheels while paint is sprayed. It is not a model: the kit itself has to be obtained separately.

The real subject

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is an American single-engined multirole fighter. The single-seat C version went through a series of production batches (blocks); Block 30/32 differs above all in the type of engine used and in partial changes of equipment. Characteristic of the F-16 is the large frameless canopy, which offers the pilot an excellent view and calls for careful masking when painting.

• Kabuki tape follows curves and leaves no adhesive behind once removed
