A set of photo-etched metal parts for the two-seat F-16D Block 50 in 1:48 scale. It adds the thin elements a plastic part is too thick for.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-16D is the two-seat version of the multirole F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter. The rear seat serves both for training and for operating additional equipment, so machines of this version appear with training and with combat units alike. The Block 50 designation belongs to the later production series; the individual blocks differ from one another in equipment and in small details on the airframe, so before building it pays to compare photographs of the particular machine you want to build.
This is a set of photo-etched metal parts for 1:48 scale. Etching makes it possible to produce elements at a thickness a plastic part cannot reach, so a model gains a fineness that cannot be achieved in plastic. The list of parts, their placement and the kit the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface; never tear them out. Make the bends over the edge of a bender or over a blade, so that the edge comes out straight and sharp. The joint is held by cyanoacrylate or by two-part epoxy applied in a small quantity; cement for polystyrene has no effect here. Before painting, wash the surface, degrease it and spray on a primer, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface.
The set is for modelers who already have the basic techniques tried and tested and want to take a model beyond the level of the kit. Working with fine parts calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and a steady hand.
The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
