The second male stance of an F-35 Lightning II pilot, 1:48 scale. A fitting accessory to a model and to a hangar scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item closes out the quartet of free-standing figures made up of two male and two female variants. This one is the second male stance, so it can be paired with the first to create two people standing by a machine without the pose repeating.
Fifth-generation combat aircraft differ from older machines not only in shape but also in how they are handled on the ground. The weapons disappear into internal spaces in the fuselage, the surface calls for careful treatment and the preparation for flight largely takes place at portable equipment and screens. A scene with a couple of figures standing a little apart therefore captures the reality better than a crowd of people leaning on the machine.
When you place two figures side by side, watch the turn of the heads. Two figures looking in the same direction look static, whereas a slight turn toward each other suggests a conversation. A differing distance from the model helps too: one figure closer to the machine, the other a little further away. In color, by contrast, keep them matched, because discordant shades of equipment would needlessly fragment the scene.
This item neither replaces nor contains a kit of the aircraft; the model of the machine is obtained separately.
