An accessory pack for an F-35A model in 1:48 scale from the output of the Czech firm Eduard. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of accessories for a model you have already bought.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pack brings together several Eduard accessory sets for a model of the F-35A combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model or a replacement for one; the accessories are fitted to a kit you have already bought. Check the exact make-up of the pack against the description on the box.
The F-35A is a single-seat single-engine multirole combat aircraft. The letter A designates the basic version with conventional takeoff and landing from an ordinary runway, unlike the other versions of the same family. The design is carried out with a view to reducing radar signature, which shows in the shaping of the fuselage and the air intakes and in the fact that the main armament is carried in internal bays. For the modeler that means smooth surfaces, precisely matching panels and an interior that is clearly visible when the bays are open.
Fit the accessories during the build, because most of the details can no longer be reached once the fuselage is closed. Separate photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bend them over a rule or on a bending tool and glue them with super glue, or with two-part epoxy, which leaves time to align them. Wash resin parts of the remains of the mold release agent before gluing and cut the casting blocks off with a saw, not with nippers. Both metal and resin need a filling primer before painting. With smooth surfaces of this type it pays to sand and polish every joint, otherwise it will stand out under a uniform coat.
