Quickboost 1:48 - a resin fuel dump for the F-4 Phantom II is a small replacement part for a plastic kit, not a model of the aircraft in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory in 1:48 scale from Quickboost for a kit of the twin-engine Phantom II. It replaces the fuel dump outlet with a fine casting, where the shape tends to be simplified on plastic parts. The set is not a model of the aircraft; it allows for a base kit. Quickboost issues more than one variant of the same part under the same name, differing in part number and intended use; when ordering, therefore, compare the designation with what you need for your model.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat twin-engine aircraft used by the US Navy, the Marine Corps and the US Air Force and by a number of other users. It was built in many versions, differing in the nose, the armament and small airframe equipment. The fuel dump is a small but conspicuous item at the rear between the engine nacelles and, on models, is among the details that decide how convincing the whole looks.
Small resin parts are easily lost - work over a surface and cut them off over a dish. Before the build, wash the part in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting block off with a saw and level the face with abrasive paper wet and with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit it only after the rough filling and sanding of the airframe, so that the fine part is not damaged, and go over it with a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a base kit. Glue, paints and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
