1:48 F-4 Phantom II masks

New Ware masks F-4 Phantom II 1:48

A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive painting masks from the maker New Ware for a model of the American fighter F-4 Phantom II in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut out of fine washi (rice paper) tape which copies the frames of the glazing and further areas intended for masking precisely. They allow a clean and sharp transition of paint without laborious measuring out and sticking of tape by hand.

The real subject

The F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat supersonic multirole fighter, one of the most widespread combat machines of the second half of the twentieth century. It served with a number of air forces in the fighter and the bomber role alike. Its large glazed canopy and intricate frames place demands on painting which the masking set eases markedly.

Use

• Lift the masks off the sheet carefully and transfer them onto the corresponding frames of the glazing.
• Press them down so that the edges adhere well and the paint does not run in.
• Spray the color of the frames and lift the masks off once dry.
• Depending on the extent of the set, further areas such as the wheels or the anti-glare panels can be masked as well.

Who the masks are for

For modelers who want clean and precise framing of the glazing and precise color transitions on a model of the F-4 Phantom II in 1:48 scale.

This is a masking accessory, not a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
