This is a resin detail accessory from Quickboost, not a standalone airplane model. The set contains finely cast landing gear doors in 1:48 scale, intended for building the McDonnell Douglas F-4C/D Phantom II fighter-bomber. The parts are thinner and better detailed than the usual injection-molded plastic doors and will refine the look of the wheel bays and of the whole underside of a model.
The F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat twin-engine supersonic fighter-bomber of American manufacture. The F-4C and F-4D versions served above all with the US Air Force and were among the most widespread combat aircraft of their era. The landing gear doors differ in shape between versions, which is why this set is worked out for the C/D form.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and try the fit dry. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The doors are easily painted to match the rest of the landing gear.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
