A resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale, made to raise the detail of the plastic kit of the F-4 Phantom II in the C and D versions. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory. The set brings faithfully cast landing gear bays with runs of piping, stiffeners and structure that injection-molded plastic cannot manage as finely.
The McDonnell F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat jet multirole aircraft. The C and D versions were among the early land-based modifications, and the aircraft was marked by a massive fuselage, a pair of engines and the characteristic cant of the wingtips and the tailplane.
Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Paint the bay with an airbrush and bring the fine piping and stiffeners out with a wash and a dry brush so that the relief shows.
This is an accessory for a kit. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
