About product

Eduard 1:48 F-4E airbrakes PRINT

This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory from Eduard in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the airbrakes on a model of the F-4E Phantom II fighter and makes it possible to show them in the open position with a faithfully rendered interior. The parts are made by direct 3D printing from resin.

The real subject

The F-4E Phantom II was an American two-seat supersonic fighter widespread with a number of air forces. Open airbrakes on the underside of the fuselage are a favorite detail that brings a parked model to life.

Use

  • The original plastic brake parts are replaced by resin ones with the internal structure rendered.
  • The parts are cut from the print supports, cleaned up and bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
  • It is a good idea to bring out the inner surfaces with a wash and a dry brush.

Who it is for

  • Modelers who want to show open airbrakes with a detailed interior.
  • Builders of F-4E Phantom II models in 1:48 scale.

The accessory does not contain the model itself. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
