1:48 F-4E and F-4G Phantom II EXPERT kabuki masks

F-4E and F-4G Phantom II painting masks, EXPERT 1:48 (New Ware)

The most complete set of self-adhesive kabuki masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the McDonnell Douglas F-4E and F-4G Phantom II fighter. The EXPERT level of the New Ware range covers the outer and inner sides of the glazing, color masks for the frames and seals, wheel masks and, in addition, masks for spraying the national insignia and other markings instead of using decals. It is not a kit or decals, but a top-level masking aid for a precise build.

The real subject

The F-4 Phantom II was among the most widespread jet combat aircraft of its era. The F-4E version carried an internal cannon, while the F-4G Wild Weasel specialized in suppressing enemy air defenses.

Use

• Apply the inner masks before the cockpit is closed up and the outer ones on the finished glazing.
• Use the insignia masks to spray sharp symbols directly in paint.
• Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edges of the masks.
• Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully and sharp transitions and clean panes remain.

Who the set is for

The EXPERT level is intended for experienced modelers who want the greatest precision and prefer sprayed national insignia to decals. The work is more demanding in time and accuracy, but the result looks very realistic.

These are painting masks, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included.
