The 1:48 F-86F-25/30 is a set of shaped masks for the glazing of the late version of the Sabre fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precut shaped masks for the panes and the frames of the canopy of the F-86F fighter in production blocks 25 and 30, 1:48 scale. The target model is determined by the name of the item. The designation TFace is not in the name, so this is the basic form dealing with the view from outside; the variant with the TFace designation in the same size covers the inner side in addition.
Blocks 25 and 30 belong to the latest series of the Sabre and carry the most pronounced aerodynamic change of the whole type. The leading edge of the wing was extended by roughly six inches at the root and by three at the tip, and the automatic slats disappeared. The machine gained surer control at high speeds at great heights by that, but it paid with a higher landing speed and more sensitive behavior at low speeds. It was exactly these series that served at the close of the Korean conflict and then for long years with a number of other air forces.
The sliding part has the shape of a smooth bubble, so its guide frame is narrow and curves in two planes at once; hand-cut tape easily ripples on it or runs off the line. In front of it stands a fixed windscreen with divided panels and a thick center pillar, where working with a knife is wretched. Preformed parts solve both places at once and without measuring.
