An injection-molded plastic kit of the American jet fighter F-86F-30 Sabre in US Air Force markings, in 1:48 scale from the Japanese company Hasegawa. The kit has finely engraved panel lines, detailed landing gear bays and drop tanks; the exact package contents are listed in the instructions.
The North American F-86 Sabre was one of the most successful jet fighters of the postwar era and one of the first to use a swept wing. It became famous chiefly in the Korean War as the opponent of the Soviet MiG-15. The F-86F version was among the line's high-performance variants.
Pay attention to a clean fit of the fuselage and wings and to the joint transitions. Assemble and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. The metallic shine of natural duralumin comes out best with metallic paints on a smooth base; apply them last and use gloss varnish before decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
