It replaces the pilot's compartment of a plastic kit with a detailed casting carrying the instrument panel, the cockpit sidewalls, the ejection seat and the controls. It is intended for more experienced modelers and is built into a base model of the F-86F Sabre aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American jet fighter of the early 1950s. The F-86F version was one of the most capable of the production Sabres and became famous for its service in the Korean War. It was a single-seat, single-engine aircraft with a swept wing.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; the details are best brought out by building up layers with a fine brush, and the larger surfaces with an airbrush.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
