A resin detail set from Aires that completely refines the cockpit of a 1:48 model of the American McDonnell F3H-2 Demon carrier fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers. The set combines resin castings with photo-etched parts and brings an accurate tub, instrument panel, ejection seat and side consoles with fine detail.
The F3H Demon was an American single-seat, single-engine carrier fighter of the Navy from the 1950s. It was an all-weather interceptor armed with cannon and guided missiles, flying from carrier groups. The interior shows clearly under the large transparent canopy, so a detailed cockpit tells on the finished model.
These are resin parts for advanced builders. Wash them in warm soapy water to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and clean up the surfaces. Bond the resin parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and fold the photo-etched elements precisely. Protect your airways while sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. Paint everything before you close the fuselage and dry-fit the tub first.
The set does not contain the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant for finishing an existing kit in that scale.
