Layered cockpit decals and steel belts for the late F4F-3, reduced to 1:48.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F4F-3 entered service before the United States even entered the war and it is told from the later versions by the wing, which does not fold, and by its four machine guns. It was in this shape of the aircraft that navy and marine crews defended island bases in the first months of the Pacific conflict, and it was on it that the pilots tried out the tactic of pairs covering each other, without which they would not have held out against a more agile opponent. The late series differed from the first airframes in small details of the armament and of the cockpit equipment.
The contents of the package are aimed solely at the pilot's compartment. The printed layered parts carry the instrument panel, the side consoles and small placards, and they are applied as easily as an ordinary decal, yet they look three-dimensional. Metal belts in steel complete the seat.
First finish the color of the interior and varnish it to a gloss, and only then reach for the parts from the set. Transfer them one by one, with plenty of water under the film, so that they can still be moved. Once dry, go over the whole compartment with matte varnish and leave the dials glossy.
The Wildcat was neither fast nor agile, but it took a hit and came home. The pilots knew that and set up a fight so that it drew on what the machine could do. On a model such a character is caught in small things: a surface worn down at the entry to the cockpit, a battered leading edge and a faded tone on the upper surfaces, which salt water went to work on first. The equipment from this package gives a basis for that on which you can build further.
The goods include neither the plastic parts of the aircraft nor paints.
