F4U-1A Corsair 3D interior decals 1:48 are a set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio on decal paper for a raised, ready-colored cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio replaces the flat cockpit parts with raised, pre-colored details printed on decal backing paper. As a rule it contains the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts. It is neither photo-etched metal nor resin but decals transferred with water. The set is intended for F4U-1A Corsair models in 1:48 scale.
The Vought F4U-1A Corsair was an American carrier fighter with its characteristic inverted gull wing. The F4U-1A version received a raised canopy for a better view than the early birdcage build. The powerful R-2800 radial engine and good flying qualities made it one of the most successful fighters of the Pacific.
Cut the part from the sheet and soak it in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds, then slide it off the backing paper into place with tweezers. The element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish, so paint the interior first and coat it with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Press it carefully into busy detail with a cotton bud, and elsewhere a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin of the element. The whole can be evened out at the end with a suitable clear varnish.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
