Quickboost 1:48 F4U-5 Corsair propeller with a jig is a resin replacement propeller including an assembly template for a model of the American Corsair carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Quickboost, a brand of the Czech maker Aires, brings a faithfully cast propeller together with an assembly jig (a template) for a model of the American Vought F4U-5 Corsair carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers; the jig helps you seat the propeller blades at the correct and uniform angle.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter recognizable by its inverted gull wing. It was powered by a capable Pratt and Whitney R-2800 radial engine. The F4U-5 version was among the postwar, higher-performing variants, and the Corsair proved itself in the fighter and attack roles as late as the Korean War.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Seat the blades using the jig supplied and fix them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Test the fit dry before painting.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
