F4U Corsair: a set of wheels with a late ribbed tread 1:48 is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an airplane model. The resin wheels match the tires used on Corsairs toward the end of the 1950s.

A resin accessory from the Czech maker Brengun for modelers who are building a Corsair in 1:48 scale in the form it took in the late part of its service. The set holds the main landing gear wheels and is intended for replacing the parts from the base kit; no model can be built from it on its own.
The Corsair went on serving long after the Second World War, and machines from the late 1950s differ from the wartime ones in a number of small ways. The tires are among the most conspicuous: the later ribbed tread pattern has a different spacing and profile from the earlier types. If you are building a postwar machine, the wheels from the box can move you toward the wrong period even if the model is otherwise built without a fault.
Wash the castings in warm water with dish soap and let them dry thoroughly. Cut the casting block off and sand the surface wet. Glue resin with super glue, as cement for plastic has no effect on it. Before painting, apply a primer, which secures adhesion on smooth resin. A proven procedure is to spray the whole wheel in the shade of the tire, then once it has dried to cover the tire with tape or to use a masking ring and add the shade of the hub; any lettering on the tire is usually only suggested at this scale with a thin line of a lighter color.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a kit. Glue, paints and masking material are not included in the package.
