A resin conversion set in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost (Aires) brand. It is not a stand-alone model of the airplane but a set of parts that will let the night variant of the Grumman F6F Hellcat fighter be built from a standard base model. The set holds the parts characteristic of this subversion, typically the radar housing on the wing and other small castings.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a carrier fighter of the US Navy in the Second World War. The F6F-3E version arose by reworking standard machines into night fighters and carried a radar in a housing under the right wing together with the matching equipment in the cockpit. They were built in limited numbers and committed to night operations.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The set is meant as an accessory for a base kit of the Hellcat.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
