A set of turned metal parts replaces the plastic armament on the wings of a model of the night version of the F6F Hellcat in 1:48 scale. It contains barrels for the 12.7 mm Browning machine guns and 20 mm cannon tips with flash hiders. The metal parts have a hollow muzzle and a faithful profile and are markedly tougher than plastic.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier-based fighter of the Second World War. The night variants carried radar and an augmented armament including 20 mm cannons. The wing armament is among its characteristic features.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and replace them with the metal parts, which are glued with cyanoacrylate into drilled holes. The hollow muzzle bores look realistic and there is no need to drill them out afterwards.
This is a detail part, not a model of the aircraft. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
