Eduard 1:48 F7F-3 photo-etched set is a brass detail accessory for refining a model of the twin-engine Grumman F7F-3 Tigercat fighter. It is not a kit, but a set of photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is used to refine a plastic model of the American Grumman F7F-3 Tigercat fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft and it is not a kit — it is a set of thin metal parts with which you replace or add the details that injection-molded plastic cannot capture faithfully. A color-printed instrument panel and brass parts for the cockpit and other areas are usually included.
The Grumman F7F Tigercat was an American twin-engine carrier-based heavy fighter from the end of the Second World War. Its pair of radial engines and its rugged structure gave it high performance; in the F7F-3 version it also served in the postwar period and in the Korean War, among other things on night and attack duties.
Separate the brass parts with a sharp knife on a glass surface and make the bends along the etched grooves with a bending tool or two rulers. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) to bond metal to plastic. The color-printed areas are not sprayed over before clear coating. It is a good idea to degrease the parts before assembly.
The accessory is supplied as a set of photo-etched parts, unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
