F8F-2 Bearcat 3D interior decals 1:48 are a set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio on decal paper for a three-dimensional, ready-colored cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio replaces flat cockpit parts with three-dimensional, pre-colored detail printed on carrier decal paper. As a rule it holds the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts. It is neither photo-etch nor resin but decals transferred with water. The set is intended for models of the F8F-2 Bearcat in 1:48 scale.
The Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat was a postwar light carrier fighter of the US Navy with a powerful R-2800 radial engine and a compact airframe. It appeared at the end of the Second World War and stood out for its exceptional rate of climb and agility.
Cut the part out of the sheet and dip it for about 15 seconds in lukewarm water, then slide it off the carrier paper into place with tweezers. The feature has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish, so paint the interior first and go over it with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Press it carefully into broken-up detail with a cotton swab; elsewhere a drop of super glue helps. Do not use decal softener or fixer, as their chemicals attack the printed resin of the feature. The whole can be evened out at the end with a suitable clear varnish.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
