Responsibility details are not available.
This pre-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American F8F Bearcat carrier fighter. It is not a kit and it is not a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks made of thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp paint transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Grumman F8F Bearcat is an American carrier-based piston fighter from the end of the Second World War. It was built as a compact, light airframe around a powerful radial engine to achieve an excellent rate of climb and agility. It saw practically no combat during the war, but afterwards it served with the Navy and became known as one of the highest-performing piston fighters of its time.
Degrease the glazing of the bubble canopy. Take the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windshield and of the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint is dry, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
