This product is not an airplane model but a resin detail accessory in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand (Aires). It holds a faithfully cast radial engine with richly rendered detail that replaces the simplified engine from the kit. Without the base aircraft kit you cannot use it.
The Grumman F8F Bearcat was a carrier-based fighter powered by a powerful radial engine. An engine rendered in detail comes into its own above all on a build with the engine bay exposed or the cowling removed, and it dominates the view of the front of the model.
Separate the casting from the casting block, clean it up and wash the mold release agent off. Bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. We recommend painting the engine before it goes into the fuselage and picking out the individual cylinders and the ignition harness with a dry brush and a wash.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and requires the base aircraft kit, which is not included in the package.
