The real subject and what the part is for

The Grumman F9F Panther was an American straight-wing carrier-based jet fighter, one of the first generation of jets in US Navy service. It made its name in the Korean War with the US Navy and the US Marine Corps and carried four 20 mm cannon in the forward fuselage. The guns sat in the lower part of the nose, and sharp resin barrels with accurate muzzles look far more convincing than solid plastic cylinders.

Usage tips

• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue
• Cut off the casting blocks (gates) and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); plastic cement does not hold on resin
• The muzzles can be deepened carefully with a drill for an even more convincing look
