This is a resin detail set from Aires in 1:48 scale, not a model of the aircraft. The set replaces the landing gear wheel bays in a kit of the F/A-18 Hornet multirole aircraft with faithfully cast compartments complete with ribbing, piping and cable runs, which injection-molded plastic usually simplifies.
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an American carrier-based multirole jet capable of both fighter and attack duties. On a model with the gear down, the retractable landing gear and its bays are among the visible and intricate areas that a detail set improves markedly.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate the casting blocks carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand with respiratory protection. The bays are best painted and brought out with a dark wash before the fuselage and wing are closed up.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a model of the aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue and paints are not included in the package.
