The castings make it possible to open the service panels and reveal the internal equipment boxes and wiring. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that raises the detail of the fuselage.
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an American twin-engine carrier-based multirole aircraft. Compared with the older Hornet it has a larger airframe, stronger engines and richer avionics. The E version is single-seat, the F version two-seat. The electronics bays hide part of the avionics, which is accessible to the ground crew.
The set as a rule calls for cutting out the relevant fuselage panels. Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks, bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand with respiratory protection. Pick out the internal boxes with contrasting shades, a dry brush and a gentle wash for a sense of depth.
