The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine carrier-borne multirole aircraft of the US Navy. The E version is single-seat, the F version has a tandem two-seat cockpit, and otherwise the two machines stay very close to each other. The tail of the aircraft is dominated by a pair of exhaust nozzles, which are visible from every angle on a finished model and are among the places the viewer's eye turns to first.
The set brings exhaust nozzles in the open position for 1:48 scale. It replaces the corresponding parts of the kit and offers thinner edges and a deeper interior than can be produced by injection molding. The exact number of parts and the seating procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions; before gluing it pays to check how much material has to be removed from the tail of the kit.
The set suits modelers who want the tail of a Super Hornet to be faithful even from close up and who do not mind a small modification to the kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
