A detail set of the exhaust nozzles for the F/A-22A Raptor fighter in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin accessory replaces the simplified exhaust ends from a plastic kit with faithfully detailed nozzles with their characteristic flat cross-section and a fine structure of the petals.
The F-22 Raptor (in its early period also designated F/A-22A) is an American fifth-generation fighter with the emphasis on reduced observability. Among its striking features are the flat, thrust-vectoring exhaust nozzles, which contribute to its agility as well as to concealing its heat signature.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. The inside of the nozzles comes into its own once painted in metal and heat-discolored shades with gentle toning. Take care to seat both nozzles symmetrically in the rear of the fuselage.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
