A plastic kit of the light combat and training aircraft FA-50 Golden Eagle in its Thai form, 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Golden Eagle is a South Korean supersonic aircraft that came about as an advanced trainer and in the combat form FA-50 was given armament as well. The design is built around a single jet engine, a slender fuselage and a cockpit arranged in tandem for two crew members, so the instructor sits behind the student. The point of such an aircraft is clear from its role: it is meant to be the last step of training before moving up to a full-fledged fighter and at the same time a cheap machine for light combat tasks. The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) is among its foreign users and its machines carry a finish of their own.
A model of the aircraft in 1:48 scale, that is the size in which a machine of this category fits a display case well and still lets the detail of the cockpit and the stores be brought out.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and try the parts dry before you glue them permanently. Finish the cockpit and close it only after painting, because on a two-seat machine it can be seen into well. Before painting, wash the parts and degrease them. If you are going to apply decals, spray the areas under them with gloss varnish, so that no air is trapped under the layer, and at the end unify the whole model with varnish to the degree of sheen you want.
For modelers who build modern jet aircraft in 1:48 scale and want a less usual machine in their collection. The paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
