A resin high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb FAB-50 M9 in 1:48 scale from the brand RESArm for finishing off external stores.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from the brand RESArm brings a resin rendition of the Soviet high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb FAB-50 M9 in 1:48 scale. The material allows the smooth surface of the casing and the fine riveting of the tail fins to be captured more precisely than a part molded from plastic can manage. The ordnance is fitted onto a kit that you acquire separately.
The abbreviation FAB designates a Soviet high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb, that is, the basic type of ordnance against ground targets. The number in the designation corresponds to the weight class, in this case fifty kilograms, which makes it one of the smallest bombs in production use of its day. It was precisely the light bombs that had their logic: ground-attack and light bomber machines carried a larger number of them and could hit scattered targets across a whole area instead of staking everything on one heavy hit. The suffix in the designation distinguishes the individual production forms, which differed in the way the casing was made and in the arrangement of the tail fins.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that residues of mold release agent are removed from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surface with abrasive paper; protect your airways when sanding resin, as its dust must not be inhaled. Use cyanoacrylate glue for joining and apply a thin layer of primer before spraying.
