Shaped pieces of masking film for the glazing of the Italian Fiat BR.20M bomber in 1:48 scale. Meant for the clear parts of the Special Hobby kit, with covering of the outer and the inner side.

The twin-engine Fiat BR.20 with the nickname Cicogna, that is stork, was the first modern all-metal bomber of Italian aviation in the middle of the 1930s and in its day it was among the fastest machines of its class. It made its combat debut in Spain, further examples were bought by Japan and committed in China. The version with the letter M received a reworked nose with different glazing and stronger engines. It was these machines that moved to Belgium in the autumn of 1940, from where they attacked English ports as part of the Italian expeditionary force. The experience turned out badly, as the weather over the English Channel did not suit the machines and the British defenses were harder than expected.
The glazed nose of a bomber is an area that cannot be avoided or simplified, and lining it by hand would take a whole evening here. The pieces of film are laid on the glass, follow the skeleton of the frames and after spraying come away together with any paint that landed on them. The cut matches the parts of the 1:48 Special Hobby kit.
On a bomber it pays to mask section by section and to put the model aside between them, because too many pieces applied at once invite shifting them while handling it.
