Responsibility details are not available.
The figure from the French Resistance range of Dynamo-Models carries the name of the figure Fernand and is worked in 1:48 scale. That is a scale common with aircraft models and increasingly so with military vehicles, so the figure suits scenes around an aircraft, at a village building or beside a vehicle. The individual numbered items of this range make up a group of figures from which a whole scene can be put together.
French Resistance is the collective name for the French resistance movement, which came about after the defeat of France in 1940 and over the following years grew into a network of independent groups. Their activity included intelligence, sabotage on the railways, printing illegal newspapers and helping downed Allied airmen. Armed rural groups were known as the maquis. In 1944 the main currents of the resistance united under the abbreviation FFI and their actions accompanied the Normandy landings. A characteristic feature was civilian clothing with only improvised markings added, because this was not a regular army.
Civilian clothing gives a free hand, but it holds together better in a muted palette - browns, grays, dark blues and washed-out khaki. Choose colors with lower saturation so that the figure fits in among the others. Build the skin from a base tone through thin shadows into the hollows to a gentle lightening of the nose and the cheekbones. Light dry brushing on the edges of the folds brings the fabric to life. One accent of color, for instance a scarf or an armband, will make a figure memorable. At the end even the whole thing out with matte varnish.
