An item from the French Resistance range in 1:48 scale from Dynamo-Models. Two names are given in the name - George and Henri.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item belongs to the French Resistance range of Dynamo-Models for 1:48 scale. It differs from the individual figures of the same range in that the name gives two named figures at once, George and Henri. For the builder of a scene that means a pair that holds together in subject and in treatment.
The French resistance movement operated during the years of the occupation of France in the Second World War. Its members appeared in civilian dress - a jacket, work trousers, a cap or a beret - without a single uniform. A pair of figures makes it possible to suggest a relationship in a view: a conversation, the passing of a message, a shared wait. In a diorama that tends to read better than a single isolated figure.
With a pair the key thing is that the figures read as coming from one world but are not interchangeable. A shared muted palette will help - gray-blue, brown, olive - and then a different accent for each of them, for instance a different color of scarf, cap or waistcoat. Build the faces on the same base skin tone, only with the shading led differently, so that the figures keep expressions of their own. Place them so that their gazes or gestures meet. At the end even everything out with matte varnish and dust the shoes and the lower trouser legs with pigment in the color of the terrain. Adapt the preparation of the surface to the material of the particular casting.
