This product is not a kit of an aircraft but a detailing conversion set. It holds resin parts and supplementary photo-etched pieces for fitting a model of the German night fighter Dornier Do-217J-2/N with FuG 202/212 radar antennas in 1:48 scale. The set will appeal to builders of Luftwaffe night fighters who want a faithful antenna array. The photo-etched fret is prepared for the ICM kit.
The FuG 202/212 Lichtenstein were early airborne radars of the German night fighter force. Their antenna array on the nose formed an unmistakable set of antlers, the Hirschgeweih, and it is the key recognition feature of the heavy night fighters. The Do-217J was among the types that carried this equipment.
A conversion set requires a separate basic model, which is not included in the package. Paints and glue are not included either.
