A printed accessory set for the German airborne radar FuG 218 Neptun for models in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The FuG 218 Neptun was a German airborne radar for night fighting, brought into use at the close of the Second World War. It allowed a crew to find a target in the dark and with no support from ground control. Its most conspicuous feature was the antenna array projecting ahead of the nose of the machine, which took speed away from the aircraft but markedly raised the hope of finding an opponent. On a model it is the feature that everyone notices first.
The accessory is intended for models in 1:48 scale and adds the equipment connected with this radar to them. The parts are made by 3D printing, so they are thin and clean in shape, but at the same time more fragile than injection-molded plastic. The set suits the build of a night fighter and serves just as well anyone who wants to stress late equipment on a model and set a machine apart from the day version of the same type.
A thin coat of primer and finely sprayed paint will handle the painting; a heavy coat would flood a small shape.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
