Eduard 1:48 Fw 189 painting masks are precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks for easily painting the extensively glazed nacelle of a model of the German reconnaissance aircraft Fw 189 Uhu.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of Eduard painting masks is intended for a plastic model of the German reconnaissance aircraft Focke-Wulf Fw 189 Uhu in 1:48 scale. The masks of thin kabuki film follow the intricate frames of the glazed nacelle exactly, so that even this demanding glazing can be painted sharply and quickly. It is not a model but an accessory for painting one.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 189 Uhu was a German twin-engine, twin-boom reconnaissance and army co-operation aircraft designed by Kurt Tank's team. Its characteristic feature was the heavily glazed central nacelle for the crew. The Uhu made its name above all on the Eastern Front, where its agility made it the eyes of the German army; Soviet soldiers nicknamed it Rama after the shape of its airframe.
Transfer the masks with tweezers onto clean glazing and press them carefully against the frames. With such a heavily glazed nacelle, work patiently panel by panel. Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush and lift the masks off carefully once it has dried.
These are painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
