The set contains finely cast replacement wheels with accurate relief on the tires and hubs, plus masking film for painting the tires and the glazing easily and cleanly. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 189, nicknamed the Uhu, was a German twin-engine reconnaissance and observation aircraft of the Second World War, with a characteristic pair of tail booms and a glazed nacelle for the crew. It was used mainly on the Eastern Front for observation and liaison. Wheels with realistic flattening under load and accurate masks are among the typical improvements made to kits.
First wash the wheels to remove any mold release agent and separate them carefully from the casting blocks; they are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and resin should be sanded with your airways protected. Stick the masking film to shape on the tires or the glazing, spray over it and peel it off carefully once dry for a crisp edge between colors.
