This is a detail resin set of the pilot's compartment, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a resin form with a finely modeled instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and the frame. It is intended for the late Fw 190A-8 version as well as for the A-8 R2 variant with its add-on equipment (Rüstsatz). The set is intended for more experienced modelers; to seat it, the inner fuselage walls of the kit usually have to be adapted. It is made by Aires.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 was among the most widespread late versions of the A series with the BMW 801 radial engine. The A-8 R2 variant carried strengthened armament according to the particular equipment kit and was used, among other roles, against formations of heavy bombers. It was a well armored and heavily armed fighter of the Second World War.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin and ventilate the space. The cockpit is painted before the fuselage is closed; the interior is brought to life by a wash into the recesses, a dry brush on the edges and color separation of the seat harness.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
