A resin detail set for experienced modelers, not an aircraft kit. The set replaces the landing gear bays of the German Focke-Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein jet fighter project in 1:48 scale. The castings also reveal part of the engine bay with the side of the Jumo 004B-1 jet unit, around which the main bay is built.
The castings capture the walls and the roof of the bay, the mounting of the landing gear and the adjoining structure, including the visible side of the engine. The Ta 183 was an advanced fighter design of the end of the Second World War with a swept wing that never reached production but remains a favorite subject among modelers. An open, finely rendered gear bay enlivens such a model considerably. The set is shaped for a matching Ta 183 kit in this scale.
